Local audio-language model

VeriSpoof-Plus

Catalogue summary: Local audio-language model for speech deepfake detection, source comparison and explanations of recording conditions. Plus uses a larger training mixture than VeriSpoof-Base; upstream reports improved detection and source verification on its published evaluations. Returns text, scores and synthetic-speech localization for non-commercial research.

Can VeriSpoof-Plus run locally?

VeriSpoof-Plus can run locally for speech deepfake detection and source analysis over the first 8 seconds of a recording. Use the verified setup options on this page; no terminal command is required to choose the right path.

Context
Official model card and bundled code/README.md document a CUDA GPU with about 12 GB VRAM; this is upstream configuration guidance, not a measured universal minimum or system-RAM floor. English prompts and answers are documented; en/zh/multilingual metadata does not establish a validated speech-language list. The bundled PyTorch runtime resamples to 16 kHz, analyzes only the first 8 seconds and repeats shorter clips. Optional vLLM accelerates reasoning only. Plus was trained on approximately 4.4 million utterances; Base uses official training splits only (approximately 0.38 million). Published evaluation improvements are author-reported, not LocalClaw measurements. No speech synthesis, voice cloning or live streaming. Non-commercial research; scores are not definitive authenticity proof. No local inference test performed. Install locally

01
Check runtimeConfirm the backend supports pytorch, transformers, safetensors on your machine.
02
Open recommended setupUse the app and model links above. LocalClaw does not expose a terminal command.
03
Test locallyRun a short private audio prompt before moving into production workflows.

Good for

  • speech deepfake detection and source analysis
  • GPU recommended local workflows
  • audio-language, audio-forensics

Watch before shipping

  • Validate pronunciation, latency and artifacts with your own voice samples.
  • Review the upstream license and acceptable-use notes.
  • Benchmark on your target CPU, Apple Silicon or GPU setup.
