Sponsorship Terms
These terms apply when an authenticated LocalClaw account purchases a clearly labelled, fixed-position sponsorship on the LocalClaw homepage. They supplement the Privacy Policy.
Fixed inventory and campaign periods
LocalClaw has six desktop homepage rail positions: three on the left and three on the right. A campaign stays in the exact position selected at checkout and does not rotate. A weekly campaign runs for seven consecutive days. A monthly campaign runs for one calendar month from its start time.
An immediate campaign starts after Stripe confirms payment. A future campaign starts at 00:00 UTC on the selected date. The account workspace shows the controlling start and end timestamps before checkout.
Availability and reservation
Opening Stripe Checkout creates a short inventory hold. Payment must complete before that hold expires. A placement cannot be purchased for overlapping dates, and the server checks availability again when the hold is created. A browser redirect or success screen alone never activates a campaign.
Prices and payment
The current launch prices are displayed in the account workspace. They may change as LocalClaw's audience and demand change. The USD amount shown in Stripe Checkout is the controlling price for that purchased period. Any applicable tax displayed by Stripe is additional unless Checkout states otherwise.
Stripe processes payment details. LocalClaw does not receive or store full card numbers. A failed, incomplete, reversed or disputed payment does not create a right to placement delivery.
Optional automatic renewal
Automatic renewal is optional. When selected, the first campaign period is charged immediately and Stripe charges the same locked launch price again at the end of each period until cancellation or payment failure. The fixed position remains unavailable to other buyers while renewal is enabled.
Renewal can be cancelled through the Stripe customer portal in the LocalClaw account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless Stripe states otherwise. LocalClaw does not run a separate card-charging loop outside Stripe Billing.
Creative and destination requirements
The sponsor must provide a factual short message, HTTPS destination and a PNG or WebP logo that it has the right to use. The sponsor remains responsible for its claims, intellectual-property rights and destination content.
Campaigns must not promote unlawful activity, malware, impersonation, deceptive claims, hate, harassment, explicit adult content, counterfeit goods or material that infringes third-party rights. LocalClaw may pause or remove a campaign that creates a security, legal, trust or editorial-integrity risk.
No performance guarantee
A sponsorship purchases the selected position for the paid time period. LocalClaw does not guarantee impressions, unique visitors, clicks, conversions, revenue, search ranking, model ranking or editorial coverage.
Measurement
The sponsor dashboard reports visibility-qualified impressions, estimated unique visitors, redirect-tracked clicks and CTR separately. A visible impression requires at least half of the sponsor card to remain in view for approximately one second. Automated traffic and rapid duplicate events are filtered. These operational measurements are not independently audited.
Cancellation and refunds
A draft or unpaid checkout can be cancelled without charge. Once a paid campaign has started, fees are normally non-refundable for the delivered reservation, subject to applicable law. Requests made before a future campaign starts are reviewed manually against the Stripe payment and reserved inventory.
If LocalClaw cannot provide the purchased position for reasons within its control, LocalClaw may reschedule the unused period or refund the affected amount. Refund and support requests must be sent from the checkout email to helplocalclaw@gmail.com.
Changes
A campaign records the terms version accepted at checkout. Later changes apply to later purchases or renewals and do not retroactively change a completed paid period, except where required by law.
